Go ahead, burn the three-watt LED all night long. When paired with the rechargeable NRG Battery Kit, the Icon can be used at full strength without stressing about the money for batteries.
When you’re lucky enough to be nowhere near an outlet, use alkalines and the economical setting for up to 200 hours of burn time. The four SuperBright LEDs are plenty powerful enough to light up the trail, so don’t let them or the multiple brightness settings go unused.
The Icon’s battery-power meter is dual-purpose: displaying via a green, yellow or red LED either the amount of battery power left or the charging status of the NRG rechargeable battery.
Color indicates battery life remaining:
Green: Over 50%
Orange: Between 20% and 50%
Red: Less than 20%
Off (no light): Remaining power is extremely low. Although the BPI uses very little power, all remaining power is diverted to the LED mode for maximum useable light. |
